UNGASS Civil Society Task Force Announced: EURAD will represent Western Europe

A task force of 27 people plus a steering committee will be responsible for ensuring representation of civil society voices into the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on Drug Policy.

The Civil Society Task Force for the UNGASS 2016 was announced this week. Both EURAD and the Recovered Users Network, will be represented on this task force, as well as several of our member organisations.

In brief:

Western Europe Representative - Fay Watson, EURAD (The Netherlands/Belgium)

Affected Populations (Former Users) Representative - Boro Goic, Recovered Users Network & Celebrate Recovery (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Our member organisations represented on this task force also include:

Eastern Europe Representative - Ahmet Zeki Olas, The Turkish Green Crescent Society (Turkey)

Affected Populations (Youth) Representative - Vasilka Lalevska, Active Europe (Sweden)

Prevention Representative - Linda Nilsson, WFAD (Sweden)

Sub-Saharan Africa Representative - Eze Eluchie, PADDI (Nigeria)
