EU Presidency continue to work on the monitoring of drug precursors the community and third countries
The Irish Presidency take a further step forward in monitoring drug precursors to ensure they are not diverted to the illicit drug market
18th March 2013
Last month, EURAD reported on EU proposals to monitor the sale of drug precursors to ensure they are not diverted onto the illicit drug market.
There have now been several amendments to the latest proposals, which have been sent from the Irish Presidency to the Working Party for approval.
The purpose of the proposal is to ensure that medicinal products containing ephedrine or pseudoephedrine are controlled to avoid diversion without impeding their legitimate trade.
